Another EDM haul of blushes and eyeshadows...

Everyday Minerals came out with a new GWP (Memphis Rose), which looks really pretty. It's an exclusive blush described as "a lovely deep rose shade with a hint of mauve undertones and rich in gold shimmer." A must have for me. ;)

I also ordered a few blushes that I already had before but mysteriously went missing from my train case... All Smiles, Once & Again, Pink Ribbon, Salon Fun, Sunday Brunch, and Theme Park.

Memphis Rose (GWP) with Wild Vines (their newest blush) and Wake Up Call (a discontinued blush).

I grabbed the "Winter Wonderland" Try Me Free Kit, which includes Bubble Tea, Floating Feathers, and Swing Set. I also got full-size jars of the Jane Austen eyeshadows... Anna Karenina (a sparkly deep vibrant blue), Dreaming Dandy (a matte hazy gray-green shade), Jane Eyre (a deep champagne color with a bit of shimmer), and Southern Belle (a peach color with a very subtle sheen).

Memphis Rose looks a lot like Wild Vines, but MR is a deeper shade with some shimmer.

The gold shimmer is really pretty in the jar, but it doesn't seem to stay on my skin very long.

I think Memphis Rose could be duped with a mix of Wake Up Call and... Salon Fun maybe?

My 1st Meow haul!

I've been wanting to try Meow for a while now, so when they had a 20% off discount for Halloween, I filled my cart with blush samples and a few foundation samples.

Here's what all I got in the mail yesterday...

Samples of Naughty Abyssinian (yellow/beige) and Naughty Manx (yellow/peach) in Flawless Feline and Pampered Puss. Naughty Abyssinian looks like a good match, while Naughty Manx appears a bit too light. Flawless Feline gives me perfect coverage without feeling stiff or looking cakey. As its name suggests, my skin looks flawless with it. However, it does make me itch when I get warm or sweat. Pampered Puss is sheer and matte. It's supposed to be layerable, but it doesn't give me the amount of coverage I need. It does make me itch a little bit too, which is odd because it's supposed to be good for sensitive skin.

I also received free samples of Ideal Eyes "Sabertooth" and Feliner "Neurotic".

Samples from their original line of blushes...

Samples from the Firefly Blush collection...

Samples from the Lush Blush collection...

Samples from the Masterpiece Blush collection...

And samples from the Taboo Blush collection...

It's gonna take me a while to get these transferred into my tiny pink jars. LOL!

Everyday Minerals Holiday Reissue Party!

I got another package from Everyday Minerals yesterday. They are having a Holiday Reissue Party. So, I got all the Holiday e/s colors ('cept for Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and Bronze Medal 'cause I already got those last year).

11:59 PM is a shimmery neutral silver, while 12:01 AM is a metallic golden shimmer. I like playing with metallic eyeshadows, and these two are truly perfect for the holiday season. Snowflakes is a shimmery smoky violet with a hint of silver and blue. It's a beautiful color for an evening look. Silver Bells is a neutral silver shade with some silver sparkles. It's lovely for everyday wear. Frost Bitten is a pure white with a nice amount of sparkle. It's a simple yet versatile highlight color. Gingerbread Man is a nice shimmery brick red. Mistletoe is a true green color with some pink and gold shimmer, whereas Christmas Carol is a green shade with silver sparkles. Both of which are absolutely great for the holidays. Sleigh Ride is a sparkly cool purple shade. It's very pretty and wearable.

The free gift with purchase is Volcano Blossom, which is a black eyeshadow with a load of golden shimmer. I like it. Another gorgeous color for the holidays. :)

I got 2 Pink Snowflakes. It's a beautiful soft pink with a hint of lilac and some sparkle. I needed 2 more items to get the 45% off discount, so I tossed in Sprung and Time Share (two of my new favorites) for backup.

I added the Earth Blush - Try Me Free Kit since it was only a penny.

Oh, and I finally got the Pumpkin Pie that I bought from eBay. I was expecting a peachy color, but this one is a shimmery light brown. I heard it can be easily duped by mixing Everyday Bronzer and Wet Sand in equal parts. The seller also included extras (a sample of Medium Summer Intensive foundation and BM "Warmth" Face Color).

A few Joppa swatches...

I'm not good at swatching yet, but these are as close as I could get.

I wore Blushing Bride and Carribean on my cheeks yesterday. First of all, Blushing Bride looks very different from the picture on the website. I expected a lovely pink blush, but on my arm and cheeks, it just looked brown... certainly not the "perfect shade of blush" I have been looking for. Carribean barely showed up on my cheeks. It looks like a soft earthy pink on the Joppa site, but I can't see any pink in it when swatched on my arm or worn on my cheeks. It just looks brown.

I wore Crazy In Love today, and I liked it. It looks like a lovely warm medium brick red that's completely matte and very well pigmented.

My favorites from these swatches are Delightful, Earthen Rose, Just Blush, and Makayla.

Reviews to be continued... might redo the swatches later.

My Rocks! Sonic Rouge haul...

I ordered an entire set of Rocks! Sonic Rouge, and they came in the mail today. :)

Wow, just look at these colors... they look a bit intense and scary, but I was told they look lovely when applied lightly. I can't wait to try them on!

I got a FREE full-sized Color Infusion Botanical Lipstick "Rosebud"... sooo pretty and smells like yummy cocoa!

I also received three FREE eyeshadows (Elegant Reverie, Lush Memoir, and Plush Romantic)... and a sample of Rocks! Sonic Lips "noreservations".

Lumiere's new brushes with hot pink bristles!

I got an email from Lumiere this morning about their new brushes.

"Just wait till you see the prices we have on our signature synthetic brushes this time, really, I think it will knock your socks right off! ;)

And, on top of already steep discounted retail prices we are offering volume discounts. When you purchase 2 or more of a style (as soo many of you do!) you will get an even LOWER price, anywhere from 10%- 30% off of PreBuy Prices!!

We are also offering an "Everything Kit" - you will receive 1 of everything in this PreBuy (with 16 new brushes and 9 old favorites! - a total of 25) for an extremely low, low price - even in this ecomony everyone can afford this kit!"

So, I went to the pre-buy page thinking, "I don't need any more brushes" since I just bought 20 new brushes (with the baby pink handles). I just wanted to see how low their "extremely low, low price" is. Next thing I know I was checking out with the "Everything Kit". It was like $2.25 a brush... how could I say no? And they're pink! The bristles are supposed to be in hot pink (base) and black (tips).

Do I really need all these brushes? Maybe... maybe not. But I can justify this order and my previous one as for nearly 2 years I only had 6 brushes (all from EDM)... so they definitely needed to be replaced... or have some backup at least. ;)

The estimated time of arrival to Lumiere is on or around January 20, 2010. So, I'll have to wait about 3 months for these brushes to arrive. Hope they look good and feel good!
