For the next few days, I will be quickly reviewing each Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow. I've been using these eyeshadows for a few months now, and I've been really impressed with the quality. Today's post will feature Audacious Asphalt.
Audacious Asphalt is a gorgeous gunmetal grey with a shimmery metallic finish. It's the perfect base for smokey eyes.
This is an excellent drugstore product! I love the texture and consistency. It's soft and smooth like butter, but once it sets, it won't budge at all. I can wear this for about 8-10 hours with minimal creasing and fading. With a primer and a powder eyeshadow to set, it lasts about 14-16 hours on me without any creasing or fading. I have not tested this for the full 24 hours because I wouldn't wear makeup for a straight 24 hours. I find it applies best if I use my fingers, which makes it so quick and easy.
I wouldn't say the quality is better than MAC Paint Pots or MUFE Aqua Creams, but I think it's definitely comparable. It's an amazing value because you get quite a good amount of product (0.14 oz.) for the price ($6.99). Packaging-wise, I love it! It comes in a heavy glass jar with a good-fitting screw-on lid, so it doesn't look or feel cheap.
Have you tried Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows yet? Do you have any favorites? What do you think of Audacious Asphalt?
